Home Management Binder (The Good, The Bad, The Printables...)

K and I love our life. But, our lives are hectic. We work work work, play play play, and try to squeeze in some date time. We are always on the go and it gets a little crazy playing the part of us.

I've come across the newer craze of having a "Home Management Binder" and fell in love with the idea. What better way to keep all of our most important stuff handy for BOTH of us to access?! We both have iPhones and share a calendar on it - which really works out for us. But to have a place where we can put passwords (we have a LOT of those), shopping lists, weekly meal planners, etc. really helps when two people are on the run. It helps to have a place where we can both jot things down together.

Take a look below at how I assembled my binder!

I purchased a binder, some tabs, some durable pockets, and Jan-Dec tabs for the calendar

After naming the tabs, I put all the utensils I bought into a zipper pocket

For my binder I included pockets behind the shopping list (for coupons), behind the budget (for bills to be paid), and behind Vehicle Maintenance Log (for maintenance receipts). I also included a zipper pocket at the front for all my pens, scissors, etc.

Now, I am not saying that this idea will work for everyone. If you have a binder that you will never use, then it's just a waste of paper. If you write in it for one week and then forget to even pull the grocery list out of it that weekend, then it does you no good. And that's OK! Binders, or "command centrals" (as my sister likes to call hers), or schedules, or planners...they may not work for everyone!

Before starting my binder, I did a lot of research. I visited blogs, I viewed free printables, I viewed pay-for printables! There are a LOT of cute ideas out there! But none of them were perfect for what I wanted. So I took the best of the best ideas and made them in to my own!

So low and behold, I have created an entire binders worth of printables. They're not super fancy, but they do provide a lot of space for information. I tried to include everything I felt would help us run a little smoother. I hope they can help you out too!

A SIDE NOTE: K & I don't have children in the home, so these will not include pages for children. I DO plan to make some, just to have on hand, so keep your eyes peeled for more printables to come! Also, if you have ideas for pages you would like to see, please leave a comment below.

Feel free to print and use, share with family and friends, but please don't use for commercial or profitable use!

(I apologize for the "list". I'm not too fancy on putting a lot of stuff on the blog yet!)

Julep Maven Box

Head on over to Julep.com and snag an almost free box of nail polish! I used the code HELLOYOU (although they have different codes all the time) to get a free box! I signed up, payed the $2.99 shipping charge, and then immediately emailed them for cancellation. It was that easy!

The box came fairly quickly, about a week. When I opened it I was quote surprised to find not only three nail polishes, but a clear coat polish as well as foot lotion!

The nail polished were great, and I have been wearing it for about 4 days with no chips! Check them out :)
